Drinking Enough Water?
Why It Matters.
How much water to drink each day?
If your answer is less than 64 ounces (half a gallon), you’re probably not giving your body what it needs to function at its best.
Staying properly hydrated will support every part of your body.
Body tissues, organs, and cells all rely on water to work efficiently and effectively.
If you don’t drink enough water, you will feel fatigued, regular headaches, and even sluggish digestion. This will often lead to trouble and difficulty concentrating.
Drink at least 64 ounces of water daily. This will help regulate body temperature, cushion joints, and even flush toxins out of your body.
Water is a simple habit that will dramatically improve energy levels, digestion, and overall well-being.
But while water is essential, not all drinks offer the same benefits. Sugary soft drinks like soda, diet soda, and high-caffeine sports drinks will actually dehydrate your body. This is counterintuitive because many think it replenishes and hydrates you.
These types of drinks may provide a temporary boost, but most lead to energy crashes and strong cravings for more sugar and caffeine.
Be smart and focus on increasing your water intake throughout each day.
Start each morning with a glass of water. Have a refillable bottle with you. Set reminders on your phone if you need help remembering.
If you don’t enjoy drinking plain water, try adding fresh lemon, lime, cucumber, or berries for a refreshing twist.
Some herbal teas and flavor-infused water can also help keep you hydrated without unnecessary sugars or stimulants.
Make hydration a priority because it isn’t just about quenching thirst.
Support your body’s ability to function at its best level.
