What does Health Span relate to?

Health Span relates directly to the quality and how you live your life.

Health Span’s definition is ‘how you live your life.’

This includes the quality of your life. Quality of life is shaped by your actions with nutrition, exercise, and mindset — Dr. Tim refers to it in his book ‘Feet, Fork, and Fun.’

A big misconception in health and wellness is everyone believes that dieting leads to lasting and healthy results. The shocking reality is that dieting more often contributes to people gaining weight in the long run.

The Problem with Dieting

Short-term diets rarely produce long-term success. Most restrictive diets will create cycles of deprivation and bingeing, causing frustration, metabolic slowdowns, and often weight gain.

Instead of focusing on going on a diet for a temporary fix, the better solution is to embrace a sustainable lifestyle change — one that contributes to overall well-being eliminating the rollercoaster of the conventional diet.

Adopt a Smarter Approach to Nutrition

Changing to a balanced approach to nutrition is far more effective than any crash or fad diet.

Key principles to follow:

Minimize most processed and fried foods – Most contain unhealthy fats, excess sodium, and often artificial additives that can negatively impact your health.

Make healthier choices with cooking oils – Use olive oil or avocado oil instead of highly processed vegetable oils.

Minimize your sugar intake – Sugar contributes to inflammation, weight gain, and energy ups and downs.

Fresh vegetables and fruits – Include them in every meal to maximize nutrients and increase fiber.

Quality protein sources – Eat lean meats, skinless poultry, fish, and beans. Include more legumes to provide essential amino acids for muscle and improve metabolic health.

Change your focus from short-term diets to long-term healthy sustainable habits. To improve your health span.

Improve your Health Span and live a longer, more vibrant life. Feet, Fork, and Fun isn’t just a plan — it’s a quality lifestyle.
